Jay Z has announced on his blog that he and wife Beyonce have decided to embark on a 22-day vegan challenge for "spiritual and physical cleanse".
The 44-year-old rapper wrote that the couple decided to turn vegan when a good friend and vegan challenged him to embrace a ‘plant-based breakfast’ every day, the Washington Post reported.

He also appealed to professional vegans to pass on any great recipes and food spots that might help him complete the challenge.
Meanwhile, it is being speculated that health-food enthusiast and actress Gwyneth Paltrow is the “good friend” who challenged Jay-Z.
