This teaser's got me hyped. Can't wait for the full thing to drop!” added another.  The album comprises 11 tracks that capture universal emotions. As per reports, the album falls within the alternative genre, boasting a rich sound coupled with frank, honest lyrics. Explaining the reason behind this big change, RM said, "My team was on my hands until 'Dynamite' but I feel that I have lost the control from 'Butter' and 'Permission To Dance', What we talk about and what message we deliver is very important for the song, but it seems like that we've lost it." "As a human being, I have pretty changed from 10 years ago. I should have grown and become mature by having my own time and thinking myself a lot, but busy schedules of BTS have made me not to be mature for 10 years," he added. According to RM, the band, somehow, lost its direction. "We have to do our role in some way for the world as a global idol, but it did not gave me a time to think. I have lost the meaning of my team, and I don't know where I and my team are going anymore. I became a rap writing machine, and my role was over when I translated the rap lyrics to English. I thought my team lost the direction and wanted to take a rest, but I felt guilty to say this. Our fans raised us, but I felt like we could not repay them," RM shared.  Meanwhile, RM enlisted in the military on December 11, 2023. His discharge date is set for June 10, 2025.

BTS ARMY demands apology from the South Korean government for this reason

BTS ARMY is ablaze following the South Korean government's decision to order an investigation against the HYBE group for alleged chart rigging practices. It's a fact that BTS has a very loyal fan following, and the ARMY can't take a word against their favorite BTS. The ARMY has also started trending "South Korea apologize to BTS" on social media. What Happened: According to a report by Korea JoonAng Daily, the South Korean cultural ministry received a petition to investigate why HYBE paid a blackmailer in 2017, following allegations of chart rigging practices. As per recent posts that emerged online, in 2017, an individual named Lee allegedly blackmailed HYBE over "expedient marketing strategies" during the promotion of BTS’ album. At that time, the court ruled that Lee had engaged in "sajaegi marketing deal" with BigHit Entertainment. Fans' Reaction: These claims and reports have incensed BTS ARMY, who are demanding an apology from the South Korean government for their favorite group. One fan wrote, “There really isn’t anything lower than throwing these incredible men under the bus when they are literally serving their country and can’t defend themselves while they’re away. ARMYS angry with Benny Blanco and Jimmy Fallon

Why are BTS ARMYs upset with Jimmy Fallon and Benny Blanco?

Some fans weren't happy when Benny Blanco and Jimmy Fallon decided to cut into a purple cake while promoting a cookbook. Even though Blanco has shown his love for the K-pop band BTS, including collaborating with them on a recent single, fans felt uneasy seeing him and Fallon cutting into a cake decorated with the BTS logo. Fallon, who's famous for his interviews with BTS, joined Blanco in the video. Why are BTS ARMYs upset with Jimmy Fallon and Benny Blanco? He appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, where they filmed themselves cutting and enjoying the cake in a funny way, mentioning the group's official handle. However, some fans, especially BTS fans known as ARMYs, found the gesture unnecessary since BTS wasn't directly related to the occasion. Some fans felt that including BTS in the video was an effort to capitalize on the group's fame. Although the link to BTS was kind of clever, some jokingly said it seemed like a mismatch, referencing RM's recent album. Others went as far as calling the duo "clout chasers." Armys are reacting to that video as if those 2 white men matter, aren't they? Do you really think they have nothing to gain from posting it? And why are you having a problem with me who simply don't want pathetic ppl like jimmy fallon and benny blanco namedrop BTS? — Nadia⁷ ✨ (@jooniejinnieee) May 1, 2024 Jimmy Fallon and Benny Blanco eating a BTS army cake? The theme for it is designed around a delivery service. In the teaser shared, one can notice a factory set-up where the packages are scanned and a line reads "Exclusive service for ARMY'. It then cuts to a gate being opened and the packages with receipts being moved out.  BTS also shared the link to the MNCR Logistics website where the ARMY is received with an invitation to share their details and then presented with an invoice for a package. While there is no clarity on what the posts mean, some have suggested that the boy band is holding a pop-up event at Seongsu-dong, Seoul, from April 26 to May 12. The pop-up event will be adorned with "Memory Clouds," symbolising the cherished moments shared between the artists and fans.  The seven-member team is currently on break as a group owing to their mandatory military service for the country. The members will gradually reunite as they all complete their service by 2025.

Exhuma (Pamyo) movie review

Exhuma (Pamyo) movie review: Excavating hidden truths in macabre form

Film: Exhuma ( Pamyo/Korean Title)Cast: Kim Go-eun, Choi Min-sik, Lee Do-hyun, Kim Jae-cheolDirector: Jae-hyun JangRating: 3/5Runtime: 134 min Exhuma, one of the biggest hits in South Korean cinema history, comes to India in a subtitled version. The horror film which garnered Box Office success for its exploration of Korean folklore has a story that exhumes bodies from old graves in an effort to link what’s happening in the present to that of the past. Basically, it’s the Japanese annexation and occupation of Korea in the early 20th century and the resulting animosity between the two nations that gets contextualized here in a horror movie set-up. The narrative that digs deep into hidden truths in family history, gradually begins to uncover a chilling mystery. This rather dense, ambitious and highly creative Korean occult horror has unusual characters fronting it’s unique storyline. Excavating multiple layers, a Geomancer and his team that also includes a couple of Shamans, hope to lift a dark curse and in order to do this they have to exhume a body from a mountain top grave on the border between South and North Korea. Kim (Choi Min-sik) the geomancer advises people on the best places for them to bury their loved ones. It’s a feng shui sort of ability and Koreans truly believe in it. In case anyone gets it wrong there can be repercussions that the families may not be ready to face. He is called upon by a family in America whose new born baby is crying all the time and given that there’s no neurological or physiological problem apparent, the parents and a Shaman advisor think it may have something to do with an ancestor’s grave. Park (Kim Jae-cheol) and his family appear to have a burial secret that only the spiritual pairing of Hwarim (Kim Go-eun) and Bong Gil (Lee Do-hyun) might be able to help with, alongside Kim’s remarkable talents. The clues lead to a remote grave with a plain tombstone. Though the man supposedly buried there was of some importance, his grave seems suspiciously nondescript. The exhumation is carried out and suspicious entities get released inadvertently. The film is neither disturbing, eerie nor tense, but it is certainly intriguing and keeps you engrossed in its cross-cultural storyline that harkens back to the horrors of Japanese occupation while embedded in Korean mysticism. The film exhibits classic horror tropes in a complex interplay of grave digging, psychological twists, demonic occurrences, and surprising comedy. There are no jump scares here. So don’t expect to jump out of your seats. The slow-to-burn narrative depends entirely on dark richly endowed cinematography by Lee Mo-gae, heavy dialogue, an austere background score, interested performances, cultural symbolism and mysterious occurences to lead up to an unsettling experience. The CGI is minimal, the narrative relies on practical effects to deliver it’s thrills. This is an innovative way to tell a horror story and may not necessarily be fodder for the horror fans in India. Exhuma builds on regional myth and therefore may not deliver ‘clarity’ to an unfamiliar audience.  But it’s visceral excesses make the macabre seem plausible and could leave you with more questions - much beyond what the movie is trying to convey.

17 Is Here

K-pop band 'Seventeen' drops new album ‘17 is Right Here’

South Korean boy band 'Seventeen' has released their album ‘17 is Right Here’ along with a music video for the lead single ‘Maestro’. The album, which comes in two CDs, includes four new tracks, Korean versions of eight previously-released Japanese lead singles, 20 lead singles from past Korean releases, and a digital-only instrumental version of the group’s debut single, ‘Adore U’. The song ‘Maestro’ brings in elements from the band’s past seven releases like ‘Adore U’, ‘VERY’ NICE’, ‘Oh My’, ‘Fear’, ‘Rock with you’, ‘CHEERS’ and ‘Super’. It’s an R&B track that aligns with the band’s core message around solidarity. The music video of the song is set in a dark dystopian world where anything, including music and art, can be easily created with technology. The 13 members of the band explore the concept of ‘true creation’ as they confront and eventually embrace the unfamiliar beings introduced to them. In addition to the lead single, the band has also released three distinct unit tracks. ‘Lalali’ captures the band's laid-back confidence, ‘Spell’ conveys their sentiment of love, while ‘Cheers to Youth’ embodies the simple joys of life. According to PLEDIS Entertainment, ‘17 is Right Here’ received more than 3 million pre-orders 10 days before its official release. Band members, including S.Coups, Wonwoo, Woozi, Mingyu, The8, Vernon, and Dino, have all taken part in the production. This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies.
