K-pop supergroup BTS is gearing up for the release of their upcoming album Arirang with a series of special pop-up stores designed to celebrate the highly anticipated comeback. The immersive events will allow fans to experience themed exhibits, exclusive merchandise and interactive displays connected to the album.
According to reports, the pop-up stores titled “Arirang” will open at 1 p.m. on March 20, the same day the album officially releases. The installations are scheduled to run until April 12, giving fans several weeks to visit and take part in the celebrations surrounding the group’s return.
Pop-ups arranged for Arirang
The main pop-up venue will be set up at The Heritage museum space located inside Shinsegae Department Store’s headquarters in Seoul. The exhibition space spans approximately 125 pyeong, or around 4,400 square feet, and will feature various themed areas dedicated to BTS’ music and creative journey.
Visitors will be able to explore carefully curated displays highlighting different aspects of the group’s work and achievements. The experience is expected to include interactive installations and visual elements that reflect the concept and aesthetic of the new album.
Alongside the exhibition, fans will also have the opportunity to purchase official merchandise inspired by the album. The collection will include a range of special items and collectibles designed specifically for the pop-up event, allowing fans to take home souvenirs connected to BTS’ latest era.
Organizers expect the pop-ups to attract significant interest not only from fans in South Korea but also from international visitors traveling to Seoul to celebrate the group’s comeback. BTS’ global popularity means the events could become a major attraction during the album’s release period.
The pop-up stores form part of a larger promotional campaign planned around the launch of Arirang. Several special activities and large-scale events are expected to take place across Seoul to mark the occasion and bring fans closer to the group’s music and artistry.
All about the comeback
The album, scheduled for release on March 20, will mark BTS’ first full-group comeback after a period during which the members focused on completing their mandatory military service. Because of this, anticipation for the project has been particularly high among their global fanbase.
Fans, known as ARMY, have been eagerly waiting for new music from the group. With the launch of the album, immersive pop-up experiences and various promotional events across the city, BTS’ return is shaping up to be a major moment for the K-pop industry and their fans worldwide.
