Recently, V from BTS was seen enjoying a beloved Korean winter street snack, drawing attention from fans as the group prepares for its first full group comeback in nearly four years. The singer shared casual photos on social media with the caption January ends, February begins. In the images, he appeared relaxed with slightly messy hair and comfortable clothing, offering a glimpse into his everyday life amid intense practice sessions.

V spotted having a traditional street snack

One photo in particular stood out. V was pictured holding a warm bag of bungeoppang, a traditional Korean street snack that is especially popular during the colder months. Bungeoppang is a fish shaped pastry typically filled with sweet red bean paste, though some vendors also offer custard cream as an alternative. The red bean version remains the most classic and widely loved. In Korea, there is even a lighthearted debate about whether it should be eaten starting from the head or the tail. V chose to take his first bite from the head.

The snack is cherished for its crisp exterior and soft, steaming filling, making it a comforting treat on chilly evenings. Seeing a global star enjoy such a simple pleasure reminded fans of his relatable side despite his international fame. BTS is set to release its fifth full length album, Arirang, on March 20, followed by a special live comeback performance at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul and an international tour.

All about its health benefits

As for its health value, bungeoppang is made from wheat flour batter and sweet filling, which means it is relatively high in carbohydrates and sugar. Compared to richer desserts like cakes or cookies, it can be considered a moderate indulgence when eaten occasionally. The traditional red bean filling does offer some nutritional benefits, including vitamin B1, plant based protein, fiber and antioxidants, which can support digestion and overall health. However, added sugar and oil increase its calorie content, so moderation is key.

BTS gang is set to make their comeback in March with ARIRANG. The album consists of fresh songs resonating their journey and military time.
