Nagarjuna reacts to Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala's pregnancy rumours: 'When the time is right..'

Nagarjuna was asked if he was 'receiving a promotion from father to grandfather'. The actor paused briefly to consider the topic before laughing awkwardly and attempting to move away. When asked again if the speculations on social media were true, Nagarjuna smiled and said, "I'll let you know when the time is right." While the actor did neither confirm nor deny it, congratulations began to pour in for the family.

Rumours that Chaitanya and Sobhita were dating first appeared in 2022, when she was sighted at his Hyderabad house. These grew stronger with sightings of the pair in London while on vacation. The couple kept their love private, finally making it official after their engagement in August 2024. They married on December 4th, the same year, at Annapurna Studios in front of their loved ones.

All about the duo

Chaitanya had previously married Samantha Ruth Prabhu, whom he met on the set of their 2010 song Ye Maaya Chesave. The couple dated on and off for several years before getting married in 2017. However, following months of speculation, the pair acknowledged their split in 2021, just before their wedding anniversary. Samantha married filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in a low-key ceremony on December 1 of this year in Coimbatore.

Sobhita last appeared in the 2024 movie Monkey Man and Love Sitara. Previously, she appeared in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan flicks and the JioHotstar web series The Night Manager. Chaitanya last appeared in Thandel this year and is currently filming Vrushakarma. While Nagarjuna was last seen in Coolie and has yet to announce his upcoming projects.
