Actor Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan have purchased a luxury duplex apartment in Chennai’s upscale locality of Poes Garden, the same neighbourhood where superstar Rajinikanth resides. According to documents accessed by Zapkey, the apartment is located on the fourth and fifth floors of the Legacy project in Poes Garden, in Chennai’s Teynampet area.
About Nayanthara's new property
Nayanthara’s new property has a super built-up area of 14,369 sq ft, while the undivided share of land measures 5,308 sq ft. Based on the transaction value, the deal translates to approximately Rs 21,946 per sq ft, the documents showed. The sale deed was registered on December 15, 2025, with Landmark Metro Projects Private Limited listed as the seller.
As per the documents, the couple jointly owns the property, with Nayanthara holding a 90 percent share and Vignesh Shivan (Vigneshwar Sivakolundu) holding the remaining 10 percent of the property.
Nayanthara’s other properties
The actress who has been at the top of her game for decades now has wisely invested in property in different cities. She reportedly owns multiple properties across cities, including Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi. She is said to own two luxury apartments in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, each reportedly valued at around Rs 15 crore. Her ancestral home in Kerala is also believed to be among the most luxurious private residences in the state.
Nayanthara's upcoming projects
Nayanthara has an exciting slate of upcoming projects, both as an actor and a producer. Among them is Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan, which is one of the most eagerly awaited thrillers of the year. The film features Malayalam cinema superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty, along with Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara and Revathy in pivotal roles.
Interestingly, Mohanlal and Mammootty will be sharing screen space after 18 years. Patriot is scheduled to release worldwide on April 23 this year.
Apart from Patriot, Nayanthara will be seen in an intriguing role in Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. The film which will be headlined by Yash also stars Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani and Rukmini Vasanth. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film has been scheduled for a global release on June 4, 2026.
