Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab is one of the most-awaited movies as the actor steps into a whole new genre with this film. The romantic horror comedy film is slated to hit theatres on January 9, 2026. While the makers have continued to keep every detail of the movie under the wraps, it has created more curiosity and buzz among fans. Now, as per a new update, the film's runtime went viral.

The Raja Saab's rumoured runtime

According to reports, it is believed that the film is over 3 hours long. According to a cinema updates page named Lets Cinema on X (formerly Twitter), The Raja Saab’s pre-release booking has opened on a USA-based portal. The pre-booking page allegedly says that the duration of the Prabhas starrer is 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Sharing a screenshot of the page, they wrote, "TheRajaSaab runtime is listed as 3h 15m is USA ticketing sites."

Nevertheless, there has been no confirmation about the runtime or other details from the makers. The official runtime of the film in India will be confirmed after the CBFC certification. This comes after Ranveer Singh's upcoming film Dhurandhar, which releases on December 5, 2025, locked in a run time of 3 hours 32 minutes, making it the longest film in 17 years after 2008's Jodha Akhbar.

Apart from Prabhas in a dual role, the film also stars, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Nayanthara in a special song. The Raja Saab is directed by the celebrated filmmaker Maruthi, who is considered a pioneer in the horror-comedy genre in Telugu cinema.

Meanwhile, it is produced by Viswa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, while the music is scored by Thaman S. The film will release across five languages: Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The makers shared a trailer a few days ago, which begins with Prabhas sitting in a hypnotist’s office, as the classic Bappi Lahiri and Usha Uthup song Koi Yahan Nache Nache plays in the background. He seems shocked by the visions that unfold later, showing eerie creatures and a haunted mansion.

The trailer ends with Prabhas’ older avatar, indicating at his role as the evil grandfather, while Zareena Wahab plays his grandmother.
