S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali wasn’t just a film; it was a phenomenon that redefined Indian cinema on the global map. With the filmmaker’s visionary storytelling, jaw-dropping grandeur, and breathtaking performances from the lead cast — including Prabhas and Rana Daggubati — both parts of Baahubali shattered every cinematic boundary. As the film gears up for a re-release, the makers indulged in a fun banter by questioning, “What if Kattappa didn’t kill Baahubali?” Rana Daggubati (Bhallala Deva) and Prabhas had a quirky response to it.

Rana Daggubati’s Quirky Reaction on Kattappa Killing Baahubali

When the first part of the film ended, it left audiences across the globe stunned and fixated on the biggest question: Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali? After a long, nail-biting wait, Baahubali: The Conclusion finally answered it, revealing that Sivagami had ordered Kattappa to take the tragic step.

Years later, a tweet from the film's official handle reignited the frenzy by asking, “What if Kattappa didn’t kill Baahubali?” To this, Rana Daggubati cheekily replied, “I would have killed him instead.” The internet exploded when Prabhas reposted it to his Instagram story and wrote: “I let it happen, Bhalla… for this!” along with the poster of Baahubali: The Conclusion proudly stamped with No.1 Blockbuster of Indian Cinema | ₹1000+ Crores Worldwide.

About the Baahubali Franchise

Talking about the popular franchise, Baahubali: The Beginning was released in 2015, and its sequel, Baahubali: The Conclusion, hit the screens in 2017. The box office records set by Baahubali remain untouched even a decade later. It continues to reign as the biggest-grossing Indian movie of all time.

As the film clocks 10 years since its release, the cast has reunited, and the makers have announced a grand re-release titled Baahubali: The Epic — an immersive cinematic experience that brings both parts together on the big screen. Fans now have the chance to relive the legendary saga the way it was always meant to be seen — in theatres — on October 31, 2025, in all its epic glory.

With multiple National Awards under its belt, including Best Feature Film and Best Special Effects, the film holds a special place in Indian cinema. It remains the sixth highest-grossing Telugu film of all time, and its Hindi-dubbed version still holds the record for the highest-grossing dubbed Hindi film in history.
