It is his love for cricket that has motivated rapper Aakash Dadlani to be part of Ekta Kapoor and Anand Mishra's MTV BCL. Aakash, who was last seen in Bigg Boss, says that he loved the concept of the tournament and couldn't wait to be part of it. "I love cricket and I love the concept of BCL so I'm happy to play with Kolkata Babu Moshayes," he says.
He adds, "I chose Kolkata Babu Moshayes because the practice takes place next to my house and I love Hiten (Tejwani) and Arshi (Khan) as well. They are nice people to play with."
In fact, Aakash will be practicing for BCL while working on his other projects. "I will be working on my projects while I play in BCL. I'm a musician and have come up with a schedule to manage both," he says.
Aakash says that his love for cricket started when he saw Sachin Tendulkar playing. "Ever since I saw Sachin play, I fell in love with the game. I love him, he's the greatest player ever," he says.
Ask him what all is he working on, and Aakash says, "I am practicing regularly so that I am able to field well. I am also trying to be as positive as I can. Other than this, I think we are great as a team. We do stretches, jog, run, sprint and practice a lot."
He adds, "We play 3 hours every day. The practice starts at 7 pm after my work ends at 6 pm. I wake up early and finish everything, so I can play and practice without any interruptions."
Aakash is grateful to have got the chance to be part of BCL. "I love the concept, it is simply amazing. I want to thank Anand Mishra and Marinating Films for giving me this opportunity," he says.
