The action was initiated on the directions of State GST Secretary Mukesh Bansal. Enforcement teams from Raipur conducted simultaneous searches at 11 locations connected to Mahavir Coal Washery, Feel Coal, and Paras Coal & Beneficiation. The operations began on the morning of December 12 and continued till late night. They covered offices, residential premises, washeries, and industrial plants. During the course of the search, which was reportedly linked to the family of Ankita and Vicky, the family surrendered around Rs. 10 crore. The next day, they deposited Rs. 11 crore, and another washery surrendered Rs. 6.5 crore, taking the total amount to Rs. 27.5 crore.
