Deepak Chahar's sister, actress-filmmaker Malti Chahar, who appeared on Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 19, has spoken up about her experiences in the entertainment world, including an unnerving encounter on the casting couch. After leaving the Bigg Boss house, Malti spoke in an interview about her reality show journey as well as her problems in the film industry.

Malti Chahar opens up about the harrowing incident

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Malti discussed the casting couch and claimed that she has been in unpleasant circumstances throughout her career. She revealed that on one occasion, an elderly and well-known filmmaker allegedly attempted to forcibly kiss her, leaving her stunned and horrified.

Speaking of casting couch experiences, Malti stated that such instances occur in the profession. "Yes, it does happen. People may try their luck once or twice," she added, adding that body language is often used to determine a person's boundaries.

"The people here are incredibly smart. They grasp your personality and body language. One or two people crossed the line, one even misbehaved, but most understood my boundaries," she stated.

Malti also noted that her upbringing influenced how she handled similar circumstances. She mentioned that her father served in the Indian Air Force, and that her behaviour and words represent discipline and clarity, which frequently dissuade people from crossing boundaries.

On how she dealt with it

During the same talk, Malti stated that girls should accept that certain men will abuse their authority or position. "Girls shouldn't fall for nice talk. "They should stay alert," she stated, emphasising the importance of awareness and strong limits.

Malti recalled the precise occurrence with the filmmaker, revealing that she used to meet him frequently for a project. When the work was finished, she hugged him from the side as a nice gesture. "In return, he tried to kiss me on the lips," she said.

Malti described her reaction as "completely stunned." "I froze." I couldn't fathom what had just happened. "I immediately stopped him and never saw him again," she remembered. She mentioned that the man was significantly older and someone she admired greatly. "I viewed him as a father figure. That incident taught me a lesson: never put anyone on a pedestal. Be cautious of everyone. I never imagined someone that age could act like that. "I was very angry," Malti stated.
