Tanmay Vekaria, the actor who played Bagha in the hit show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently lost his mother. The actor rushed to Instagram to share the devastating news with his fans and followers. Tanmay did not reveal any specifics regarding her mother's death, but he did share previously unseen images of her and wrote an emotional statement.

"Sad part is u can only see her in pics and feel her in heart, you can't hug her, or won’t ever get to see her in front of you ever again. Miss u maai alwzzz n forever, i know u are in the best place up there," he wrote.


Soon after the message was shared, friends and fans rushed to the comments section to express their sympathies. Nitish Bhaluni, who played Tappu in TMKOC, also commented with a folded hand and a red heart emoji.



Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been functioning successfully for more than 17 years. Recently, the show completed 4500 episodes. To commemorate the occasion, creator Asit Kumarr Modi posted a group photo of the popular sitcom's cast members on Instagram and wrote a thank-you note. 

Tanmay Vekaria said, "Ek beej se shuru hua sapna aaj hajaron muskurahaton ka baagicha ban gaya hai. Pehele din se jude saathiyon, hamare mehanati team aur stars ke peche ke sabhi saathiyon ka dil se saaman. (A dream that started from a seed has today become a garden of thousands of smiles. Heartfelt thanks to all the colleagues associated with us from day one, our hard-working team and all the colleagues behind the stars)"

Tanmay had previously acted in several minor roles on the same show, often portraying different characters, before landing his legendary role as Bagha. Tanmay Vekaria appeared in the episode as four separate cameo characters: a school teacher, a rickshaw puller, the husband of maid Rukmini, and a taxi driver. He had already worked in Gujarati theatre with co-star Disha Vakani before joining the show. Aside from television, he has appeared in several Gujarati films and stage plays, demonstrating his versatility as an actor.

Tanmay's portrayal of Bagha has earned him a dedicated fan base throughout India. His comedic timing and sincere performances continue to make people happy.
