Founded in 1993 in Kutch, Gujarat, Kala Raksha has long beenworking to provide a good platform for traditional artisans and craftsmen to preserve their craft.

Their efforts have been successful in creating a designer imagefor artisans and have helped them make their crafts sustainable.




The body works with Artisan Design Committees who createexquisite contemporary work rooted in their traditions and Artisan Pricing Committees also establish fair wages. Finally, artisans participate in the sale of their work, linking them directly tothe market.

The group will now be exhibiting fashionable accessories; traditional games like Vagh Bakri, Chopad, and Snakes & Ladders; freshly designed garments like kurtas, jackets, shawls, and stoles; home furnishings; narrative wall hangings and more, designed by artisans while you can be the proud owners of these culture-rich pieces.
