It is not the sound of sleigh bells, but the thunder of hooves that will accompany Santa Claus to the Mahalaxmi Racecourse this weekend. After two big Sundays with the Rotary and Stylecracker events, the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) and the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce are hosting the tenth edition of the Christmas Fest and Racing weekend.
Look out for a German band, German food and beverages (read: beer and sausages feasts) and of course, Santa Claus. Several German companies will be associated with this carnival-like affair so one can expect an authentic experience, including an Oktoberfest beer garden.
