Before he was lighting up festival stages as KSHMR, American musician and DJ Niles Hollowell-Dhar was already behind some of pop culture’s biggest bangers including the global party anthem ‘Like A G6’. But it was as KSHMR that he truly turned the volume up on his identity, blending cinematic EDM drops with rich cultural textures to create a sound that feels larger than life.

Born in California to a Kashmiri father, his connection to India runs deeper than most realise. Visits to his grandparents sparked a rediscovery of his roots and that pride didn’t just stay personal, it made its way into his music. That’s exactly what he’s bringing to India on his five-city tour this Holi.

Understandably, Holi isn’t just a single splash of colour. It’s a rush of moods unfolding in real time - the high-energy chaos, the hands-in-the-air euphoria, the emotional swells, the cinematic slow-motion moments when everything feels larger than life.

Here is how each colour of Holi will come alive through the world of KSHMR during his performances:

The power of red

KSHMR channels the emotional intensity associated with red through the melodic force of ‘Secrets’. Traditionally tied to love, passion and life force, red reflects the moment when Holi shifts from playful to fully immersive. The scale and emotion of the track mirror that transition, capturing the collective surge that defines the festival at its peak.

The warmth of yellow

The uplifting spirit with this colour comes alive through KSHMR’s ‘Festival of Lights’. Often linked to joy and auspicious beginnings, yellow reflects the lighter, more hopeful moments of Holi. In this track, he captures that early celebratory energy through an open, expansive soundscape, setting the tone before the festival builds into full momentum.

The renewal of green

KSHMR reflects the sense of movement and renewal that comes with this colour through ‘Jammu’. Traditionally linked to growth and fresh energy, green mirrors the rhythm that keeps Holi in motion. The grounded yet evolving pulse of the track captures this spirit of continuity and forward momentum.

The depth of blue

The layered calm complementing this colour is beautifully captured in ‘Close Your Eyes’ by KSHMR. Remembered for its depth and emotional balance, blue reflects the quieter moments that exist within Holi’s vibrancy. The track’s gradual build and immersive quality mirror that sense of pause within celebration.

The energy of orange

The American music producer brings out the dynamic shift associated with orange through ‘Touch’. Traditionally correlated to enthusiasm and transformation, orange reflects the moment when Holi moves from individual joy to collective momentum. The track’s steady rise mirrors that transition as the celebration gathers intensity.

As KSHMR continues to headline major stages around the world, his bond with India remains central to his identity. That is what makes this upcoming Sunburn Holi Weekend Tour feel so charged with anticipation. It is not just another stop on the tour calendar, it is a celebration waiting to unfold.

This spirit of celebration will come alive at Sunburn Holi Weekend 2026 ft. KSHMR, which begins in Mumbai on March 3, with a special performance by DJ Chetas, before travelling to Chennai on March 4, Bengaluru on March 6, Bhubaneswar on March 7, and Hyderabad on March 8. The tour will also mark KSHMR’s debut in Bhubaneswar, bringing his globally acclaimed live experience to the city for the first time.

The tickets for the performance are available on BookMyShow.
