The Guide went on a hunt for shops that sell unique nameplates in the city
The proverb "What's in a nameu2026" may have a profound meaning but in simple material terms, the truth is we love flaunting our names on our front door or gate. Nameplates need not be dull and mundane and can make or mar the first impression of any house. They are a reflection of the attitude of the owner and their personality. We tell you about three shops that custom-make designer nameplates.
Bliss
Bliss has ceramic and crackle-glass nameplates as well as wooden ones with artificial flowers. Each piece is personally designed by owner Aman Rai, who guides his clients on the design and style that would best complement their home. The wooden plates have small statues of Ganesha pasted on them. Come with lots of time in hand as they take at least two or three days for each piece to get made. You can also find interesting ones with alphabets and numbers that are made from different materials including brass, ceramic and metal.
