Pune-based author Hrishikesh Bhagwat is out with his first book, Life’s Cricket. The central protagonist of the book is Aarav Patil, an ambitious boy who is a brilliant academician and a talented cricketer. This book revolves around his life and how he balances his career and cricketing life. The GUIDE caught up with the author:

Young engineer to author
I have done my Mechanical Engineering from Wadia College. I love reading books and I have also written articles in my school and college magazines. I realised that writing a book is not difficult and I should follow my instinct. So, I started writing Life’s Cricket while I was in my second year of engineering. Now after more than two years, it’s complete and published. I am inspired by international authors such as JK Rowling and Conan Doyle. I also admire Indian authors like Amish Tripathi.

First-time author
Being a first-time author, you need to take a lot of efforts. But if you have done proper research and are dedicated enough, you can also be quite good. I have to thank my family members and friends for supporting me through this journey. I am already planning my next story but as of now I am looking forward to my admission in the US. My book had taken a backseat for a while but I am working on it and it will come out soon hopefully.

Life’s Cricket, Hrishikesh Bhagwat, Good Times Books, '125. Available at Reliance Book Stores and online bookmarts. u00a0
