Come Friday, and Pune fashionistas can open up a trunk-full of surprises at fashion event Travelling Trunk. At this three-day gala exhibition, organised by young entrepreneurs Kunjan Budhiraja and Kainaz Mehta, you will find a myriad fashion designs and accessories by renowned designers from across the country.

The idea behind the Travelling Trunk Show, which was first held in 2010, was to take the designs created by renowned designers from different parts of the country to the right audience. "We hosted this event in Mumbai and Hyderabad which has a huge market and it did really well. Also, India has a lot of talent and at times, it goes unnoticed. Through this gala exhibition, we want their designs, be it jewellery, garments or other designer products, to reach people across the country and get adequate exposure," explains Kunjan.

"It's not possible for designers to travel every time, so we figured why don't we travel. Both of us have a retail background so we understand the details that go into the marketing of the product. Keeping the designers clientele in mind, we design the merchandise," adds Kunjan.
This is the first time Traveling Trunk has travelled to Pune and it hopes to garner a great response. Since Raksha Bandhan is around the corner, the exhibition will have many festive designs in apparel as well. They also have a special Dosti creations displaying elegant and beautiful rakhis.
The exhibition will have unique embroidered Indo-western wear created by Nupur Kanoi, accessories by Nautanki designed by Carina Advani, jewellery by Mulberry Tree, pr t designs by Aneekha, trendy outfits designed by Fashion Week designers Urvashi Kaur and Myoha and brand Baccha party who will be displaying fun kidswear like colourful dhotis and socks.
The exhibition promises a complete fun-filled experience as you can indulge in a glass of wine and assorted cheese as well while browsing through the creative collection.
