My active holiday begins and ends with shopping sprees and visits to local restaurants because I am a confirmed shopaholic and a huge foodie," says actress Ramya. "That constitutes adventure, right?" she demands, poker faced. The idea of shopping in New York or Tokyo, she confesses, appeals to her more than scuba diving in Mauritius.
Bungee jumping is a dream, she says. Ask if she wants to try her hand at the sport and she baulks at the thought. "Never. I have a terrible fear of heights/ flying. I guess bungee jumping would cure me of it, but no thanks. I'm happy to limit my adventure to my tastebuds."
Will she sign up for a wine tour or a gourmet festival, then? "Yes. As long as I get to eat in the best places in the world," she replies. She knows sushi from sashimi and waxes eloquent on the food at Nobu in London. It's refreshing to hear that she has a hearty appetite and never ever craves for ghar ka khana when she's out and about, globe-trotting.u00a0
"My mom usually bears the brunt of my adventures. I drag her along to restaurant, cafes, bistros when all she wants to eat is a nice wholesome meal of rice and rasam," says the star.
Her dream destination? "Gold Coast in Australia to party, and New York to shop," she says with a chuckle. As an afterthought, she adds, "A visit to Africa for the safaris. That's an active holiday, isn't it?"u00a0u00a0
