Music review: Who you are, Jessie J

It took Jessica Ellen Cornish (now Jessie J.) six years to complete this, her debut album. Therein lies the problem. Some of it is good, as pop records go (the track Do It Like a Dude is infectious), but the rest simply doesn't live up to the hype.



This is more annoying when one considers that Jessie wrote hit songs for stars like Miley Cyrus before venturing out on her own. If you do put aside those pointless pieces of biographical information though, upbeat tracks like Who's Laughing Now and Price Tag or the ballad Big White Room can give Rihanna a run for her moneyu00a0-- which is no mean feat.
