New Delhi: Chinese handset manufacturer OnePlus has announced a flash sale experiment for the OnePlus One smartphone in Europe and the United States. "We’ve said before that we’re not making money with the One, but we’ve decided to experiment with our pricing this week. For the first time ever, the OnePlus One in 64GB Sandstone Black and 16GB Silk White will be available at a new price (starting from $249) in a series of flash sales," the company said in a statement.

The smartphone will be available in two variants, and the customers can purchase both the 16GB Silk White and 64GB Sandstone Black on the open Tuesday global sales.

OnePlus One comes with top-of-the-line hardware specifications, including a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch (1080P display), 13MP rear camera with F2.0 aperture and Sony image sensor, 5MP front camera, 3100mAh battery to make the device run all day, 4G-support and NFC. It features CyanogenMod 11S, a custom aftermarket version of Android developed by Cyanogen.
