Seven-time Grammy Award winning band Coldplay that has redefined Soft Rock for a generation surely does deserve a tribute band. Enter Coldplayer, a four year old band that is just that and is now coming town going Viva La Vida.

Hailing from different parts of UK, these band members split time between university and their love for Coldplay. "Part of the reason why we started Coldplayer was because I was often told I look like Chris Martin, I soon found that I was able to imitate his voice quite closely and the rest is history" states Seth Full Brook, the lead vocalist who is often mistaken for the original vocalist of Coldplay.

The other members of the band comprise of Gareth Whiteside who portrays Johnny Buckland, Jacob King as Will Champion and Craig Johnson is a close replica of Guy Berryman.

Even though they haven't played alongside their idols yet, Coldplayer is hopeful that the Grammy award winning band might have heard them. "They must be so busy, I doubt they know of us, although we did receive a mysterious email a few years ago from the band asking us to keep up with the good work," says Seth.

He has also attended over five live concerts of Coldplay and that has been his biggest motivation. "I began as a solo performer playing Coldplay songs, calling myself the Coldplayer. Soon it turned into a full fledged band since we all have different musical backgrounds and have performed in cover bands on TV," adds Seth.

A celebration of some of the most melancholically beautiful songs of our times, Coldplayer promises to make the Coldplay experience as real as possible. The concert on April 3 will be a potpourri of all Coldplay hits with a few songs that hardcore Coldplay fans will appreciate. Expect a medley of popular as well as lesser known numbers like the Christmas Song and Swallowed In the Sea through a two-hour set.

Not having had any crazy fan moment as yet, the band is looking forward to their India trip. "We are very excited as we hear there are many crazy Coldplay fans in India. Since it's our first visit here we hope to avoid the infamous Delhi Belly because we are used to non spicy food and the tropical weather will be a new experience for us," says Seth.
