Zuma is a great blend of Japanese tradition laced with a modern twist.
It's menu has a wide varietyu00a0u00a0-- small dishes and salads, sushi and sashimi, from the robata grill, zuma dishes, desserts and tasting menu that includes a seafood selection and miso soup with tofu.
FAVOURITE RECIPE: French onion soup
Ingredients
3-4 onions (finely sliced)u00a0 100 gm butteru00a0
Pepper powder (as per taste)u00a0
4 cups chicken stock (made from 4 chicken cubes)u00a0
1 French loafu00a0
200 gm Gruyere cheese (grated)
4 raw eggs
Salt to tasteu00a0
Method
Lightly heat butter in a pan. Add onions and saut ufffd on a low flameu00a0 until they turn brown. Add pepper and mix well.
Add the chicken stock, salt and stir. Boil for few minutes.
Slice the French loaf. Pour the soup into four individual oven proof soup bowls. Arrange one or two slices of French bread in each bowl. Evenly sprinkle grated cheese on it. Bake for five to seven minutes.
When it is ready, drop
a raw egg in each bowl, to add flavour.
Serve hot.u00a0
Tip: To make chicken stock, boil the chicken cubes in 4 cups water.u00a0
