Director Vedd Rawtaani is making the right noise over the webspace since the trailer of his forthcoming web series ‘Suraj Aur Saanjh’ was released. The web series revolves around the story of two different personalities stuck under the same roof as they experience a myriad of emotions, laughter, madness and unexpected twists. While Anil Charanjeett and Anjali Anand play the titular roles of Suraj and Saanjh, the series will also see Avinash Sachdev and Garima Yagnik essaying important roles.
Vedd is extremely elated with the way the series has shaped up. Sharing his experience of creating this one-of-a-kind series, the director said, “The entire crew became a family as there were struggles and hardships while shooting. But it was indeed a fruitful experience. Right from spending time on sets to the wrap-up parties, and the discussion during edit sessions to the enthusiasm during our dubbing sessions, we have thoroughly enjoyed and learnt a lot from each other.” Calling it a magical experience, Vedd then stated that it was by far the best shoot he had done till date.

While filming the series, the director and the entire team had loads of laughter and memories. Enlightening about it, Rawtaani was all praises for Anil Charanjeett. “In one scene, Anil sir got into the iconic character of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte played by Paresh Rawal sir from Hera Pheri. The way he got into the character left everyone entertained”, said the filmmaker Apart from this, Vedd could not even stop gushing about the intensely emotional scenes performed by Anjali in the series.
As much as the team of ‘Suraj Aur Saanjh’ had a blast while shooting for the series, the makers also had to face some challenges as they shot the series in the first phase of lockdown in 2020. Elaborating about it, Vedd Rawtaani revealed that necessary precautions were taken and the shooting schedule was completed by doing one thing at a time. “We had restricted limited people on set including actors, and in this situation, we made impossible the possible task”, the director added.
Having gone through all the adversities, Vedd Rawtaani is hopeful that the audience will shower immense love to the series. “I am waiting to see how the audience reacts to the series. If all goes well, we might come up with the second season of ‘Suraj Aur Saanjh’ sooner than expected”, commented Vedd. The web series is slated to release on the official YouTube channel of Pocket Films and Facebook Watch from October 22 onwards.
