Dare-bare babes be damned; less is more when it comes to the art of seduction, agrees the University of Leeds. Flashing just 40 per cent of your skin accounts for optimum allure, says their new research published in the journal Behaviour. If a woman's clothes are too revealing, she may catch the eye of the wrong kind of man, the findings stress. But all too prim, and she may attract none at all.
The basis of the study is interesting to observe. University psychologist Colin Hendrie sent four female researchers to one of the city's biggest nightclubs. Once there, they stood on a balcony overlooking the dance floor. The study tracked what female clubbers were wearing and how many times they were approached by men. It was revealed that women who showed off around 40 per cent of their body were approached by twice as many men than those who were more covered up, or exposing. The body break-up: each arm accounts for 10 per cent, each leg for 15 per cent and the torso for 50 per cent exposure. Here's decoding the magic connection between forty and naughty.
