Chef Kelvin Cheung is popularly known as a celebrity chef and owner of Bastian and One Street Over in Bandra. Born in Canada and raised in the United States, Cheung has been quite popular in the city of Mumbai too.

Kelvin Cheung's father is a restaurateur, and while he started cooking at a very young age. Kelvin Cheung said that his first official job was in a restaurant as a dishwasher for his father's restaurant. Kelvin Cheung's father made him work his way up and prove himself before he was allowed to actually cook in the kitchen.

Kelvin Cheung was teaching at a culinary school in Chicago and one of his students was a Mumbai boy. Years later, he returned to his birthplace Toronto to open a restaurant. Everything was fixed. And suddenly, the landlord wanted to increase the security deposit. So he dropped it.

As luck would have it, forty-eight hours later, Kelvin Cheung got a call from the same student to work on a super-expensive and cool place that no one had done in India. It was three in the morning, and he asked him to call him later. The student called up again at five and said he had the owner on the line. Kelvin said he gave the interview in his underwear.

In March 2019, Shilpa Shetty became a joint partner of the restaurant along with chef Kelvin Cheung. Shetty said, "I have eaten all over the world, but the menu here is innovative. I decided to invest in this place because I love the brand's character. Food is made from scratch here. There is special attention paid to the produce and fresh ingredients."
