Vartika Singh was born in Lucknow. She pursued bachelor's degree in clinical nutrition and dietetics from Isbelle Thoburn College and also holds a master's degree in public health administration from the University of Lucknow.
She has participated in many national and international pageants other than Miss Universe 2019.
She started her pageant journey with Miss Diva 2014 where she was placed in the Top 7. She also participated in Femina Miss India 2015 where she was crowned Miss Grand India. Singh then went on to participate in Miss Grand International where she bagged the second runner-up title.
As the Miss Diva pageant was not held for this year, Singh was appointed as Miss Diva to represent India in the Miss Universe pageant.
Vartika Singh has put her public health knowledge to good use by contributing as technical advisor to a government health project in association with World Bank.
She has also been working with the Uttar Pradesh government in educating communities and spreading awareness about tuberculosis.
Singh is also associated with Smile Train Organisation, an NGO that provides aid to underprivileged children for corrective surgery for cleft palate and cleft lip. In this photo, she talks about a workshop she attended in Atlanta as a part of her Miss Universe pageant. She said, "The @smiletrain association continues here in Atlanta as well! We had a workshop with them where we had to decorate these little mirrors. Really enjoyed doing this and interacting with the team!"
In the Miss Universe pageant held on Sunday, Singh secured a spot in the Top 20 contestants, but failed to qualify further.
She is also known for putting witty captions in her Instagram posts. The caption for this photo reads, "That rare photo where I skipped a smile and went for some attitude instead."
She is also seen posting selfies taken with her fellow contestants. In this photo, she poses with Malaysia's Shweta Sekhon, Singapore's Mohana Prabha, Panama's Mehr Eliezer and Australia's Priya Serrao.
In this photo, she stuns in an Amit Aggarwal gown worn for a dinner in Atlanta. She captions, "Set for dinner, and wishing I could have a clone! So much to explore, learn and absorb every day, and I don’t want to miss a thing (sic)!"
