A 23-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by her male friend and two of his friends in a moving car before being dumped by the roadside near Nehru Place area of south Delhi

New Delhi: A 23-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by her male friend and two of his friends in a moving car before being dumped by the roadside near Nehru Place area of south Delhi.


Police said the incident took place late last night when victim, a daughter of Delhi Police woman constable, was offered soft drinks laced with sedatives by the accused. "Girl along with her male friend and his friend came out for a ride. On the way, they offered her soft drinks laced with sedatives. After drinking it, the girl fell unconscious," said a senior police officer.



According to the officer the girl alleged in her complaint that she was then gang-raped and dumped near Nehru Place flyover. "Seeing a girl is lying in an unconscious condition, an auto driver, who was passing through the area, immediately called up the police.

Police took victim to a nearby hospital," officer also said. Medical examination has confirmed the rape and a case has been registered in this regard. Police said that they have detained two persons in the connection.

"A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation is on," the officer added.
