A Class 9 girl was allegedly gang raped after being abducted by two youths in Odisha's Boudh district, police said on Monday. The incident occurred in Kodibahal village under Kantamal police station of Boudh district on Sunday evening.
An FIR was lodged on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim's family members.
As per the complaint, the girl who had gone to her uncle's place to attend the wedding of a relative was forcibly taken to a forest and gang-raped by the two men while she was out to attend nature's call.
The girl was accompanied by her aunt when the men forcefully took her into the jungle and raped her, said police.
"The girl said that she had arrived in the village to attend a marriage function of a relative. She had gone to answer nature's call with her aunt in the evening when two youths of Kodibahal abducted her and one of them raped her," said inspector-in-charge of Kantamal police station, Purna Chandra Kishan.
He said they have launched a manhunt to nab the accused who are now on the run.
