A tantrik raped a woman after giving her some sedatives here, police said. The accused was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
The tantrik Hira Lal, 54, raped the 23-year-old woman in her house in Delhi's south campus area Tuesday night on the pretext of freeing her family from being possessed by evil spirits.
The accused send the victim's husband outside and raped her while she was unconscious after consuming the sedatives.

A case was registered Wednesday and the accused was arrested. He was presented in a local court and sent to judicial custody.
"The victim's family had problems after she got married. The woman and her husband had approached the tantrik on the recommendation of a relative," said a police officer.
The accused is from West Bengal.
