Gurdaspur: A woman was kidnapped from an old age home allegedly by her husband and his colleagues here, police said on Saturday.
Surinder Kaur (25), who had a love marriage with one Kabul Singh, a resident of Kathiali village in 2009, had some matrimonial dispute with her in-laws, they said.
She was ordered to live in old age home temporarily by deputy commissioner Abhinav Trikha when she presented herself to lodged a complaint of the matrimonial dispute nearly one-and-half month back.
An Assistant Manager with the old age home Swatanter Kumar informed police that her husband Kabul Singh and his colleagues came there last night and kidnapped her.
The old age facility was constructed two years ago and is without boundary wall and security. Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
