'Refused to meet Majeed'

Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi claimed that he was approached by jailed bookmaker Mazhar Majeed several times but distanced himself as he seemed like a "shady" character.



"He tried to contact me in the hotel and wanted to meet me but I avoided him all the time because I had suspicions that he was not trustworthy and was involved in betting," Afridi told The Express Tribune.
