Maharashtra government today transferred 34 officers of the Deputy Commissioner of Police and the Superintendent of Police rank in the state, an official source said

Mumbai: Maharashtra government today transferred 34 officers of the Deputy Commissioner of Police and the Superintendent of Police rank in the state, an official source said.

Accordingly, in Mumbai, DCP Paramjit Dahiya is now DCP Zone 5, Shahaji Umap new DCP of Zone 6, while Rajesh Pradhan and Kiran Kumar Chavan have been appointed as DCPs of Zone 7 and 12, respectively.


The new DCP-Western Railway is B V Deshmukh, Sanjay Jadhav is DCP (Traffic) and Sunita Thakre as DCP for Port Zone, the source said. DCP (Detection) Dhananjay Kulkarni has been transferred to the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), they added.
