Air India flight makes emergency landing at Mumbai airport

A Bangalore-bound Air India flight with 87 passengers on board returned to Mumbai airport today after being air-borne for around 35 minutes due to a technical problem.

A Bangalore-bound Air India flight with 87 passengers on board returned to Mumbai airport today after being air-borne for around 35 minutes due to a technical problem.

"Flight no IC-109 took-off at 0937 hours but soon returned to Mumbai after a technical snag was reported in the aircraft," an Air India spokesperson said.


The flight landed at 1011 hours and all the passengers are safe, the spokesperson said, adding another aircraft has been arranged to ferry them to their destination.
