42-year-old teacher, who hung himself, blames no one in his suicide note
A 42-year-old resident of Koldongri, Andheri (east) committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling yesterday.
Ajay Wadke, owner of a coaching class, left behind a suicide note claiming responsibility for his death. However, the cause of his suicide is yet to be ascertained, said police.
The matter came to light last evening when Wadke's colleague Vikrant Jadhav visited his residence to check on why he did not attend a lecture, scheduled for 6.30 pm.
"I rang the door bell several times, but no one opened the door. That's when I broke the lock and entered the house, only to find Wadke hanging from the ceiling," said Jadhav, in his statement to the police.
A case of suicide has been registered with the Andheri police station. Police Inspector Raghunath Patil, who is investigating the case, said, "We have not found the reason behind the suicide.
Wadke's family is completely taken aback and hence we have not been able to record their statement."
Wadke's wife and son were not at home when the incident occurred. Repeated attempts to contact the family proved futile as hundreds of students gathered to console them.
