Following the MiD DAY report 'Billionaire can't fund treatment' on Thursday, which highlighted the plight of 75-year-old Ghanshyam Rangnekar, who has lakhs in the bank but cannot access the money to fund his treatment, as he is in coma, help is finally on its way.

Following the MiD DAY report 'Billionaire can't fund treatment' on Thursday, which highlighted the plight of 75-year-old Ghanshyam Rangnekar, who has lakhs in the bank but cannot access the money to fund his treatment, as he is in coma, help is finally on its way.

Yesterday, after the Human Rights Commission (HRC) intervened and promised to help Rangnekar access his money, he was finally shifted to the Universal Heart Hospital, Chembur, from the Rajawadi BMC hospital.

u00a0Manish Sawant, PA to T Singaravel, the HRC member who called up Rangnekar's bank, said, "We will follow up with the bank before the money is dispensed."
