Veteran Communist leader Ahilya Rangnekar passed away on Sunday following a heart attack. She was 89. Rangnekar died at her Matunga residence in central Mumbai, family sources said.

Veteran Communist leader Ahilya Rangnekar passed away on Sunday following a heart attack. She was 89. Rangnekar died at her Matunga residence in central Mumbai, family sources said.

She was a member of the Central Comittee of CPM and also a former MP. She won in 1977 from Mumbai North Central constituency.
