Hignis had been staying at room number 401 of the guesthouse attached to the famous Hare Rama Hare Krishna temple since January 29.

Hearing Hignis's cries, ISKCON temple manager Braj Premdas and a security guard had rushed to her room.

"We have a high security facility and CCTV cameras on every floor. We tried but were unable to play the CCTV footage, so we handed the tape over to the Juhu police. The woman probably had a nightmare. She is not part of ISKCON. We do not know what her intentions behind staying with us. But we sympathise with her," said Premdas.

About the CCTV footage, Niket Kaushik, DCP (Zone IX) said, "Disclosing too much could hamper investigations. We are getting some technical assistance, and have some definite leads and are in the process of confirming them."

Premdas said that each room in the guesthouse has just two keys. "Our guests have one key, while the other remains with the reception staff, and we are sure that none of our staff members is involved, and the attacker did not come from the gallery as the gallery door was locked when we entered the room."

"I went there personally as our guest house manager was out of town."Hignis checked out on February 4 according to ISKCON records."
