Indore mishap: Bodies of deceased sent to Mumbai

The bodies of nine Mumbaikars who died in a road accident in Madhya Pradesh, Tuesday evening have been handed over to the relatives. The bodies will be brought back by road to Mumbai confirmed a police official, Indore.

According to police officials, theu00a0Trax carrying 12 Mumbaikars,u00a0collided with the truck GJ6VV-9909 at around 5 pm.Theu00a0passengers were on a tour of Madhya Pradeshu00a0and booked the tempo from Sharada Travels in Indore, from where they went to Mandu. They had left for Ujjain yesterday and were returning after visiting the Mahakal Temple.


Theu00a0truck driver is still absconding, said the police. "We got to know that the truck was from Rajasthan. As of now the details of the truck driver is not yet known."

"Our first priority is handing over the bodies of the deceased to the relatives,"said a police official.


The three injured have been admitted at Aurobindo Hospital in Indore. According to the hospital doctors, one person is critical while the other two are recuperating from injuries.

Meeting in Mumbai
Mumbai Kharwa Samaj will hold a condolence meeting at 5pm today and also plan to inform the relatives of some of the deceased, who are not aware of the tragedy.
