Sami was arrested in New Delhi yesterday and explosives were recovered from him.
Preliminary investigations have indicated that Sami was involved in a number of blasts across the country.

Additional Commissioner of Police of the ATS Param Bir Singh said Sami was also involved in the huge arms haul at Aurangabad in 2006.
First hint
Sami's name first emerged when LeT terrorist Nayeem Sheikh was arrested in April 2007. Shaikh had named Sami during a narco test.
A SIM card recovered from Shaikh led ATS officials to believe that it could contain details of LeT suspects related to the 7/11 train blasts in 2006.
Singh said Shaikh tried tou00a0 crush the mobile and SIM card while he was being escorted by BSF personnel on a train from Kolkata. "Officials, however, managed to recover parts of the damaged instrument," added Singh.
During further investigations, the ATS stumbled upon a list of telephone numbers that can provide clues about other members of terror outfits in Maharashtra.
