MNS to now enter film city

Around 1.30 pm today, a mob of MNS workers will enter film city to inaugurate their film union, Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena, and place their demands before the film city Director.

According to Amey Khopkar, president of the union, there are number of people from outside Maharashtra working in the artiste associations. Majority of them are from UP and Bihar and hence Maharashtrians do not get jobs.

"We will keep our demands before the Film City director see to it that they are fulfilled. The police have not given us permission, but we will go there and make sure we are heard," Khopkar said.

He added, "We will be inaugurating our union that will provide jobs to people attached to the film industry. We have also issued cards and the film industry has to give them jobs."

According to an official from the film city, "The cards issued by MNS are not accepted as the film industry has is own union."

MNS activist, Sanad Mane, said, "Our film industry was started by Shri Dada Saheb Phalke and non-Marathis have encroached into it. So those who disrespect or do not allow MNS card holders should behave rightly or they will have to face the consequences."
