MUMBAI CRIME: Rs 2 lakh looted from Khar flat

An incident of housebreaking took place at 19th Road in Khar (W) on Monday, when the complainant, Sushil Achrekar (70) stepped out with his wife between 11 am and 8 pm. The unknown accused broke the iron grill of the ground floor residence and entered the house.

The burglary came to light when the couple returned home and found their house ransacked. The Achrekars told the cops in their complaint that cash, silver, gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 2,13,000 has gone missing in the burglary. The police have registered the case and investigation is ongoing.
