A minor explosion took place on Thursday in a civic dustbin in central Mumbai allegedly due to some chemicals thrown in the bin, police said.
The explosion took place in a bin placed near the building of an NGO, 'Cancer Society', in suburban RAK Marg area and coloured smoke was seen emanating after the blast, police said.
A team of Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad rushed to the spot, police said adding no injuries have been reported.
