Three police constables have been booked and suspended for resorting to crime, to get even with a bunch of workers from a sweet shop in Mahim.
According to police, the incident took place at 1 am on Saturday, when constable Rajdeep More of the Shahu Nagar police station was on his way home. “He saw a few workers from the sweet shop involved in a heated argument. More directed them to go home. This angered the workers, who allegedly manhandled More,” said a police officer.
More left the place, but returned with two other constables — Vishal Bhagat and Mahadev Kamble. The trio then barged into the shop and assaulted the workers.
