“I am a big fan of Manoj Tiwari. For the movie Fan, I had written the Bhojpuri version of the song Jabra, which was sung by Manoj. During our previous conversation, he assured me that he would work with me in future. After a few months of that exchange, I received a friend request from him and was overwhelmed,” Sinha told mid-day.

Songs galore
Sinha then spoke to the impostor through a messaging app. During this time, he had also called her and sounded just like Tiwari, due to which Sinha trusted him, “After a few conversations with the impostor, he asked me to send all my songs, to which I readily agreed. I have sent him around 50 songs.”

“He even told me that he wished to record the songs in sometime and he needs some money for it. I paid around Rs 4.75 lakh to the accused. Some of the songs were pertaining to the arrival of monsoon. Despite the monsoon showers, when the project failed to take off, I found something amiss,” she added. Sinha was told by the impostor that a music composer was making an album with her songs and he also put up a post on Facebook saying the same.

Tiwari shocked
Sinha then called Tiwari and told him about the promises made by his music composer and about the money and songs she had given him. However, Tiwari was extremely shocked to hear it and said he was unaware of any such music composer. He asked her to go to the nearest police station and file complaint against the impostor.
