Malad murder: Man stabbed to death by his girlfriend's brothers

A 23-year-old man was allegedly killed by two brothers of his girlfriend in suburban Malad on Tuesday morning. The incident took place in Malvani area of Malad. The two arrested accused of the murder have been identified as Ajmal Ali Khan (23) years and Waseem Khan(19), while the deceased was identified as Saif Ali Khan (23).


According to the police sources, both the accused and deceased were from the same native village and were all auto drivers residing in Malwani Old Collector Compound gate number five. During the interrogation, the police learnt that the deceased was in love with accused’s sister and he often used to visit their house in the absence of the brothers. Saif had been to their house on the day of the murder. In the meantime, Ajmal and Waseem arrived and saw Saif in an objectionable situation with their sister. Both the accused initially got into a physical fight with Saif and later stabbed him thrice with the kitchen knife. He was rushed to the local government hospital by the police where the doctors declared him dead. Wasim and Ajmal absconded after the incident, but the police tracked them down and arrested them in the evening. 

“We have arrested both the accused under Section 302(Murder) and 34(Common intention) of the
Indian Penal Code. The accused were produced before the Borivli Magistrate court tomorrow,”
said a police official from Malwani police station.
