A 37-year-old man has been arrested for killing his friend, after he discovered he was allegedly molesting his wife. Investigations revealed that his wife and his friend were having an affair, and when she realised he would find out about it, she accused his friend of molestation.

According to police officials, the accused identified as Tejbahadur Mourya, a labourer, was walking in the lane opposite Infiniti mall in Andheri west near his house at 10 pm on Wednesday when he saw Rajesh Singh, talking to a woman in the darkness. Mourya went closer to find it was his wife who was talking to Singh, a driver by profession. The officials further said that on seeing his wife, Mourya became furious. However, when she noticed him approaching them, she began shouting accusing Singh of eve teasing and molestation. In a fit of rage, Mourya rushed home, picked up a knife and stabbed Singh. The accused stabbed Singh thrice before he fell to the ground.
The officials of Amboli police station received a call from shopkeepers informing them about the incident. They reached the spot and found Singh’s body. During investigations the police found that Singh and Mourya’s wife had an affair, however when she realised that her husband would find out about it, she accused Singh of molestation.
