The Matunga police reunited a six-year-old boy who was separated from his parents in a market area in Thursday.


The incident took place on Tuesday morning where the kid identified as Rajdeep Deshmukh had accompanied his mother Megha to Matunga market. He lost his way after he unintentionally left his mother's hand.

After the mother Megha's effort became fruitless, Rajdeep's father Prashant immediately filed a missing complaint with Matunga police. The police swung into action and Rajdeep was found Within an hour near Maheshwari school and junior college near King's Circle garden.

BM Kakad, Senior Police Inspector, Matunga police station told Free Press Journal, "Rajdeep was with his mother Megha when he got lost in the crowd. We immediately dispatched a team to trace the missing boy. Rajdeep who was holding his mother’s hand suddenly got lost in the crowd. The child was totally lost and seemed a bit scared when we found him. While looking for his mother, he had started walking alone towards Maheshwari school from where he was found."

The team then reunited little Rajdeep with his parents.
