A newly married woman committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan at her residence in Kurla (W) yesterday afternoon
Sana Khan ended her life at a time when her husband was out for work and the in-laws had gone to the bank. It was Khan’s father-in-law who first discovered the body.
Officials of the VB Nagar police station have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) in the case and further investigation is on. They said Khan hailed from North India and was married just two months ago. Her body was sent for post-mortem.
Senior Police Inspector Subhash Raut of the VB Nagar police station said, “No suicide note was found and hence the exact reason for her taking the drastic step is still unknown. We are waiting for her family members to arrive following which we’ll note down their statements and take further action.” u00a0
