A road accident involving three vehicles at a bridge near Nehru Nagar in Kurla left one man badly injured on Thursday around 12.45 am.

A road accident involving three vehicles at a bridge near Nehru Nagar in Kurla left one man badly injured on Thursday around 12.45 am.


According to eye witnesses, a speeding Tavera crashed into a staionary dumper, a Hyundai Accent coming from behind rammed into the Tavera , which led to a three-vehicle pile up.


Sanjay Gangat (25), the Tavera driver, in an attempt to avoid collision with the dumper, swerved to the left, coming directly in the path of the Hyundai.


Gangat was rushed to Sion Hospital, where he will undergo a CT scan, said the doctors.

The Hyundai accent passengers Dr Krishnakumar Munshilal Saxena and his wife escaped with minor injuries.

The dumper driver was detained for questioning by the Nehru Nagar police.
